Clearer Time Off, Custom Sick Leave, and New Timesheets [Product Updates]

We’re always working to improve the RemoFirst platform so that managing global teams is simpler, clearer, and more flexible. And we had quite a few new updates that went live in April to share.

This recent round of product updates were focused on helping you onboard employees more smoothly, manage "employee leave" more effectively, and get greater visibility across the board.

Here’s a quick look at what was newly launched last month:

A Smoother Login Experience

We’ve updated our login page with a clean, branded animation featuring the RemoFirst logo. It’s a visual enhancement that creates a more polished experience right from the start as you onboard on your RemoFirst platform journey.

Clearer Probation Period Setup

The probation period field has been updated to make it easier to understand and use during onboarding. It now:

  • Displays the unit (days)
  • Includes a helpful tooltip explaining how probation periods work
  • Automatically adjusts for regions where probation isn’t applicable

This means less guesswork when onboarding new hires.

Time Off Policy Improvements

We’ve separated Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Leave into two clear sections, making it easier to manage entitlements. There’s also a new option to select how sick leave is applied:

  • All at once – the full balance is granted upfront
  • Accrued – employees earn leave monthly (e.g., 0.41 days/month)

The platform automatically calculates and tracks balances accordingly.

More Flexibility with Sick Leave

You can now assign a custom number of sick leave days during employee onboarding. This gives you more flexibility to align with internal policies while ensuring compliance with local laws.

Tracking sick leave just got easier! You can now easily view a clear breakdown of:

  • Entitled
  • Accrued
  • Used
  • Available leave

This information is available in both the employee profile and time-off request sections

Smarter RemoHealth Pricing

RemoHealth now calculates real-time health insurance pricing based on the employee’s age. This provides more accurate and transparent cost estimates when adding coverage.

RemoHealth Packages

Timesheets Now Available in Select Countries

We’ve launched Timesheets for employees in the USA and Philippines. Employees can submit hours directly on the platform, and clients can review and approve them with just a few clicks.
